Hitzfeld slams Madrid transfer spending
Madrid president Florentino Perez has given the latest
figures on money owed by the club as having dropped 27.4 per cent in the
last year to a sum of €90.6m.
However, one club member has claimed that this figure is inaccurate and actual debt stands at €541m.Either way, to have money owed and be able to sign the likes of Gareth Bale, Isco and Asier Illarramendi in the summer has former Bayern Munich manager Hitzfeld unhappy.
“It is incomprehensible. I do not understand how they can with so much debt,” the current Swiss head coach has mused to Futbol Tactico Magazine this week.
“It seems unfair that Madrid can buy those players with the amount of debt that they have at the moment. It is not fair.
“Bayern Munich are a healthy club, that has no debt, and that will only sign players who they can, according to their economic potential, and they have paid large sums in recent years.
“But they have never owed money to any organisation or club. Competition between the teams is not balanced.”
