Valencia and Malaga in goalless draw

 

Visiting goalkeeper Diego Alves was forced into early saves from Roque Santa Cruz, Samu, and Duda as Malaga started the game on the front foot.

Valencia did fashion a couple of openings of their own but Daniel Parejo’s free-kick and Jonas’ effort from the resulting rebound were kept out by Malaga stopper Willy Caballero.
The match's sluggish nature continued after the restart with Malaga going the closest to grabbing the three points only for Alves to deny Pablo Perez late on.
